A-Level tuition

A-Level tuition with depth and exam technique

A-Levels reward independent study, and that is exactly the skill most students have never been taught. Our tutors are university students studying these subjects now, so the content is current and the study habits are proven.

  • Current undergraduates
  • Specification-led
  • University-ready study habits

What happens next

  1. 1. A free consultation about the student's stage and goals.
  2. 2. A shortlist of tutors, reviewed by a person before it reaches you.
  3. 3. A free compatibility trial before anything is paid for.

Founding lessons from £25 per hour. No grade or place is ever guaranteed.

Who A-Level tuition suits

A-Level is where the step up in independence catches out students who coasted through GCSE. Tuition works best when it starts before that gap widens.

  • Year 12 students adjusting to the pace after GCSE
  • Year 13 students working towards firm offer grades
  • Students needing A*/A grades for competitive courses
  • Students resitting a module or a full year

What usually gets in the way

These are the patterns we see most often, and what a tutor does about them.

The jump from GCSE

Content volume roughly doubles and marks depend on extended reasoning. We rebuild study method alongside subject content.

Notes that do not become answers

Many students revise by rewriting. Tutors replace that with retrieval practice and full-mark model answers.

Offer pressure

When a place depends on two grades, panic is the real risk. A tutor gives an honest read on where the student stands and what will move the grade.

Synoptic and multi-step questions

Later papers combine topics. We practise the linking, not the topics in isolation.

A typical first four weeks

Every plan is adjusted at the consultation, but this is the shape most engagements take.

  1. Week 1

    Where the marks are going

The tutor reviews recent assessments and identifies whether the issue is content, technique or timing.

  2. Week 2

    Core content repair

The highest-value topics are retaught to the depth the specification actually requires.

  3. Week 3

    Extended and synoptic questions

Practice on the long-answer questions that separate grade boundaries, marked against the real scheme.

  4. Week 4

    Timed paper and progress note

A timed section under exam conditions, feedback, and a written plan for the next block.

What families ask

Are tutors studying these subjects now?

Our tutors are experienced university students, so recent A-Level experience and current subject knowledge are part of what they bring.

Can you help with coursework?

Tutors can guide structure, planning and feedback within exam-board rules. They will not write or complete coursework for a student.

How do we start?

Book a free consultation. We talk through the student's stage, goals and timetable, then recommend a tutor and arrange a free compatibility trial before anything is paid for.
