I am a medical student at University College London (UCL), with a strong academic background in Maths and Chemistry. I tutor GCSE Maths and Chemistry, helping students build a strong understanding of the fundamentals while developing the confidence and exam technique needed to achieve their goals. My teaching approach is friendly, patient and tailored to each student. I begin by identifying areas where a student is struggling or lacks confidence, before breaking concepts down into clear, manageable steps. For Maths, I focus on understanding the reasoning behind different methods and developing problem-solving skills. For Chemistry, I emphasise understanding the underlying concepts before applying them to calculations and exam-style questions. Students can expect lessons that are structured but flexible, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions, practise independently and learn from mistakes. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable saying when they don’t understand something. As their confidence grows, I gradually encourage them to work more independently and tackle unfamiliar questions. My goal is not simply to help students learn the content, but to help them become more confident, independent learners who understand how to approach problems and feel prepared for their exams.
